The new facility is located in a former vacant warehouse, directly across the street from Dr. Bresslin’s Cavity Buster Facility, on Geiger Road in North East Philadelphia. The engineering design included mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems to support two practices. The mechanical systems upgrade included new rooftop units, VAV boxes and distribution ductwork to support the new clinics. The plumbing systems included a new domestic water system as well as a vacuum and equipment air systems that were piped underground to each dental chair. The electrical system modifications were designed to accommodate the new air conditioning along with the dental and imaging equipment. Holy Redeemer Health System Sr. Behavioral Health Unit Expansion & Relocation - Meadowbrook, PA

This project re-imagined and expanded the existing Senior Behavioral Health Unit from a fourteen bed single unit located on the third floor of the hospital to a twenty-four bed, two unit department located on the second floor of the hospital. With a diverse group of older residents requiring inpatient behavioral health services, Holy Redeemer Health System prioritized converting and expanding a small medical-surgical unit to accommodate a higher census while also correcting unit deficiencies in order to facilitate healing. As a result, it was desirable to split the unit so patients functioning at both higher and lower cognitive levels received appropriately-developed therapies.

Wick Fisher White provided the required engineering services for the replacement of the mechanical and electrical infrastructure, which included the demolition of the entire area down to the building structure and removal of all existing HVAC, plumbing, medical gas, fire protection and electrical equipment and distribution systems.

Our design included two new roof mounted air handling unit and associated duct distribution (complete with anti-ligature air devices), exhaust air fans, anti-ligature plumbing fixtures, appurtenances and distribution piping (sanitary, sanitary vent, cold water, hot water, hot water recirculation), fire protection distribution piping (complete with anti-ligature sprinkler heads), anti-ligature luminaires, normal and essential (three branches) power distribution, panelboards, receptacles, nurse call system and devices, security devices and information technology distribution and devices.

Holy Redeemer Healthcare Bensalem MOB - Bensalem, PA

Completed in Sept. 2012, Wick Fisher White provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for the renovation of a leased space on the first floor of a two-story Medical Office Building attached to the Rothman Specialty Hospital to create a state-of-the-art, patient-centered facility that delivers a unique, comfortable and enjoyable experience for the Holy Redeemer community.  This project is the first major initiative and movement toward an organization-wide transformation into creating, producing and delivering world-class experiences for patients, families, physicians and the employee team.  The existing mechanical and electrical systems serving the leased space are being replaced in their entirety. Special lighting systems designed to support the “experience design” interior elements of the space are being provided.

Currently, two shelled spaces within the space are being fit-out to incorporate the Profile Shop and the Holy Redeemer Experience Center. The Profile Shop will offer products to oncology patients dealing with the after effects of cancer treatment. The Experience Center will be a state of the art training facility for Holy Redeemer personnel. Using theatrical themes and equipment to educate and share the Holy Redeemer story with new “cast members”, the space utilizes computer controlled imaging and lighting to create scenes in which members interact with each other.
